Short biography
PhD in Childhood Studies (speciality in Childhood, Culture and Society) from the Universidade do Minho with the work ” Roald Dahl’s children as main characters and their fantasy release” [distinctive Muito Bom], under the guidance of Professors Sara Reis da Silva and Blanca-Ana Roig Rechou. She is currently teaching and research staff at the University of Santiago de Compostela, as a temporary supply lecturer, and a member of the research group LITER21 “Galician literature. Children’s and young adults’ literature. Literary, artistic, intercultural and educational research” of the same institution. Member of the LIJMI Network (CRPIH), part of the research team of the Centro de Investigação em Estudios da Criança (Universidade do Minho) and editor of “Elos. Revista de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil”. She has worked as a primary school teacher, specialising in Therapeutic Pedagogy, and as a contractor on projects related to education and literature. She has also participated in conferences and published several works on children’s and young adults’ literature, literary education, children’s and/or family cinema and film literacy.
