Abstract

The 2019 Día das Letras Galegas appeals to the memory of a vocational and generous intellectual, researcher and teacher who, beyond occasional incursions into literary studies and even creation, devoted his life to disciplines of the social and human sciences such as history, geography, archaeology and, notably, to specialities in the field of socio-cultural anthropology, such as ethnography and folklore. In the works included in this volume, ethnographic tradition, orality and popular literature – fertile fields of Galician culture – merge with life experience to offer a complete and novel vision of Antonio Fraguas and his enormous legacy.
