Abstract

The volume Poesía reunida (1982-2004) brings together the poetic work of Xela Arias and aims to contribute to its dissemination and knowledge. The writer occupied a place of her own in the literary cartography of recent decades and her work is in keeping with the renewal of poetic discourse produced from the 1980s onwards, as well as with the proliferation of the discourses of feminism, which she accompanied as a pioneer. Xelas Arias, who on numerous occasions expressed a feeling of generational loneliness, asserted her status as a woman writer and reacted forcefully against the invisibilising nature of labels.
