Abstract
In this work we take a look at the translations, versions and adaptations that have been made of Lewis Carroll’s work, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, from the 1980s to the present day. After a brief review of the socio-political-cultural conditions suffered by the Galician children’s and young adult literary system, some of the main paths followed by translation into Galician are explained, with special attention to the treatment of universal classics. Finally, the characteristics of the Galician language editions of this universal classic are reviewed in more detail.
