From 16th February to 16th May, NORMAL (A Coruña) presents an exhibition curated by Natalia Poncela and with the participation of projects developed by Jacobo Bugarín, Vicente Blanco, Salvador Cidrás, Silvia García and Carme Nogueira.
Among the different contributions that form part of this exhibition, we would like to highlight the work developed by the Escola Imaxinada Project carried out by Vicente Blanco and Salvador Cidrás. These two authors carry out part of their artistic research in educational contexts. In this sense, they develop a “pedagogy of creativity” by providing action scenarios that give the opportunity to create.
Below you can see images and videos of the contribution of these two authors in this exhibition, along with a conceptualisation of their contribution:
Trebello (2023)
The word Trebello defines a broad and ambiguous concept that encompasses inventiveness, spontaneity and problem-solving with few resources. It also claims the artisanal creativity of the tools that were used in an eminently rural society.
A trebello can be used in many ways and is defined by the context and the recipient. In this case, the trebellos imply an element of union, spatial and formal that activates the creative developments of children. The processes carried out with this material by the pupils of Infant Education and different centres in A Coruña.
