Abstract

Xela Arias’ views on writing reflected in autopoetic texts, lectures or interviews enables the reconstruction of a metaliterary discourse that not only defines the basis of her poetics but also places it at aesthetic and ideological points of reference. One of the first is the importance of language — the word — in a constant exercise in experimentation based on freedom. Secondly, there is the awareness of writing from a condition, that of a woman, and in a minority language. Finally, and as a backdrop, there is the subversion of the established order, the condemnation of false equilibriums and the questioning of the order of things.
