Abstract

A literary selection on war and social conflicts that aims to facilitate the task of establishing the reading habit and achieving a competent reader, both in the field of texts and images. It is also very useful as support material in the always complicated process of generating multidisciplinary projects that focus on social or military conflicts.

The works contained in the book cover a broad spectrum of children’s and young adults’ literature, analysing a large group of illustrated albums together with a wide selection of juvenile novels, with varied themes and styles. The historical framework chosen has made it possible to analyse in detail a plurality of military confrontations and analyses both the sequences of classical conflicts and the more recent effects of modern confrontations.
