Abstract
Review of the period boundaries established by the historiography of Galician literature for the period from 1916 to 1936 (Spanish Civil War). This paper analyses the histories of the key literary works and inquires into the periods as well as into the criteria applied for their identification. To conclude, it focuses on the repercussions that different tags had on setting up the narrative of the Galician historiography, paying particular attention to the presence of the name “Irmandades da Fala” (Brotherhood of the Language) on those tags.
