Abstract

The members of the Thematic Research Network “Las Literaturas Infantiles y Juveniles del Marco Ibérico e Iberoamericano” (LIJMI) present in this volume several reflections focused on the theme Reflections of the two World Wars in Children’s and Young Adult Literature, with the intention that professionals in the field of mediation between books and reading find in these pages a set of guidelines to help them in their work of literary training and in the elaboration of thematic selections. The different essays deal with a corpus of works of children’s and young people’s literature centred on both world wars, offering a wide range of spaces, characters and situations caused by the conflicts. These texts reiterate, among others, features such as the absurdity of any war, the repercussions of Nazism or attitudes of bravery and resistance.
