Abstract
A look at the work Todo o tempo do mundo, by David Pérez Iglesias, that deserved Merlín prize by Edicións Xerais de Galicia in 2016. The analysis deepens in the relationship between Ariadna, almost twelve years old girl, and her grandfather Valente, a man who is unfamiliar to her and will make her to discover the land of his birth, as well as the problems in the rural area where he lives. This is an approach to a story, which needs to be read in Galician classrooms, what asserts the role of women in the rural world.
