Abstract
Childhood and old age, two apparently converse stages because they are placed in opposite sides of the lifeline, are the topic of reflection and the point of interest for several artists. This work will pay special attention to images. It opens with a brief introduction about the treatment of art with regard to this topic and then it will focus the analysis in the illustrations from a selection of Galician books for children and young adults with this theme.
