Abstract

The service-learning project we describe below, named Unión de Canles Sociais: proxecto de arte comunitario, started in the year 2015 in the Department of Arts of the University of Santiago de Compostela. The aim of this project, financed by the Social Council of the USC, was to give visibility to all the actions undertaken by the Arts teaching staff of this department. In total, five teachers, one coordinator, fifty-five students from the university, one hundred and fifty external participants and members of four institutions have shared the actions that include a children’s show, three drawing and painting workshops, a drawing marathon, a Christmas concert, a music workshop and an art exhibition.
